Sports Turf Manager Certification Program (CPD)

The Sports Turf Manager Industry Certification Program (CPD)

In the late 1990’s the Association introduced an Accreditation Programme (AAP) to encourage Golf Course Superintendents to undertake continual training throughout their careers and thereby promote the position of Superintendent as a highly skilled and professional role.  While the Accreditation Program was very effective at delivering a focus on professional education and training for members, it has been largely inactive for some years.

The revised Sports Turf Manager Industry Certification Program is aimed at encouraging Turf Managers to invest in their professional development, and recognise broadly to the Australian Sporting industry the profession of Sports Turf Managers as providing an essential role to Sport & Recreation.   The Program is designed to recognise Turf professionals that have attained accreditation, through recognition of prior experience, completion of an industry assessment, and investing into their education through engaging in Continual Professional Development (CPD).

The Australian Sports Turf Managers Association have updated and redesigned the Program over the last 12 months, in line with many other industry Associations and are looking to re-launch the program in early 2020 – and asking for a group of current Assocaition members to be involved in helping us to evaluate, review and trial the program and provide feedback prior to its industry launch.

If you would like to be involved in involved in helping the Association evaluate, trial the program and provide feedback prior to its industry launch, please complete the form below or contact CEO Mark Unwin on mark@astma.com.au
